Launch Day Shopping List...

Now that November 22 is approaching, its time to decide how i will spend my money. I decided to keep it simple and get only one game and a accessory. My decision was based on the fact that the Xbox 360 will cost me $399 and that doesn’t leave much room for games. Also i will go with a game i love and not a new Xbox 360 game. Why would i do that? Because i want to wait until there are reviews for the 360 games. The games this time around for the new console are around $60 each and i want to read a review before spending that kind of cash. Well, here is my list.

1. Xbox 360 (System, Hard Drive, Headset, wireless gamepad, etc.)

2. Halo 2 (I can't live without this game, its a must)

3. Xbox 360 Faceplate (something to make it look nice)

That’s my list, what will you be getting on launch day?

Xbox 360 Games and Accessories Availble Before Launch...

As you are reading this post, Xbox 360 games, accessories are arriving at retail. Microsoft announced today that retailers are beginning to sell the games and accessories before the November 22 Xbox 360 launch. This is fantastic for fans like me to stock up before the console comes out on the 22nd.

Dreamcast 2.0 article from 1UP.com...

1UP.com has a terrific article on the parallels between the Xbox 360 and the Sega Dreamcast. It goes on to describe the 23 similarities of both systems, as well as the 10 reasons why the Xbox 360 will succeed where the Dreamcast stumbled. The article doesn’t have much text and has lots of images for us magazine reading folks.

Waiting Game...

Well, the Xbox 360 is almost here and i can't wait. I have not reserved a system yet but im still hopeful that I will get one at a Wal-Mart or Target. Wal-Mart stores will be open at midnight and I read this on Wal-Mart’s web site so I should be in good shape.

Finding money to have when the system comes out is another story, I will be short on cash due to Rent/Car payments etc. on the 22nd, but I will try to buy one somehow though. I leave to go to NY to visit my folks with my girlfriend the day after the 22nd so I won’t have much play time with it but I will make time for it.

Once I have the system I will have to save yet again for a HDTV, right now I have the Dolby Digital/DTS 5.1 Surround sound system but I need to upgrade to HDTV. I will most likely upgrade to a 32” CRT as it will fit my budget.

Im hanging in there and waiting, reading and watching videos of the games for Xbox 360 and im so excited about it.

Oh… I forgot to tell you, I got to play a Xbox 360 on Saturday when I went to the mall, it was at a EBGames and I was in the store for at least 10 min before noticing it. Its looking amazing and just adds to the anticipation.
